Dr. Kashif A. Latif possesses 21 years of expertise in endocrinology, specifically in diabetes and metabolism. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is affiliated with 25 hospitals. Additionally, he has contributed to six publications in his field.
Born in Pakistan, Dr. Latif attended Aga Khan University Medical College. He initially practiced internal medicine in Dyersburg, Tennessee, before relocating to Memphis in 1992, where he completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Kashif Latif has been recognized for his type 1 diabetes screening initiative. He was the mastermind behind Memphis Screening Day in November of 2024 and is putting similar initiatives together for other cities. He FIRMLY believes screening for T1D is a major step in preventing it.
